Teachers

Céline

Born in Chamonix, Celine graduated from the Stendhal University of Grenoble specialising in French as a foreign language and since 2010, she has been teaching in private schools in Geneva and Chamonix. Her experiences in Switzerland gave her the opportunity to teach multicultural groups and tackle a variety of needs (written French, business French, preparation for French exams etc.). She regularly updates her teaching skills, ensuring continued high quality lessons combined with a bit of fun.

Juliette

Following a literary Arts degree (Hypohkâgne & Khâgne, Bachelors of History and Philosophy), Juliette made a small detour via the sciences and land development (Master's degrees in Environment Science and Town and Country Planning), before focusing on her vocation, teaching French as a foreign language. She has taught in several schools in Switzerland and France, and is now settled in Chamonix.

Juliette enjoys sharing, debating and discussing just about everything with her students. Curious and spirited, her educational approach is essentially oral based, but Juliette also takes a lot of pleasure working through texts; in particular works of literature or journalism, exploring the beauty of the written language.

Myriam

It all started in Lille with a youth worker qualification (B.A.F.A.), followed by studying linguistics and finally teaching French as a foreign language in Scotland and Chamonix in 2009.

In summer: mountains, hiking and biking. In winter: snow, ski and melted cheese!

Rich and diverse encounters, an inspiring local history, a strong mountaineering identity and an incredible mix of cultures and languages. A magnificent setting in which to exchange, pass on knowledge and teach French; accompanying children, teenagers and adults of all abilities on their individual journeys. In groups or in a private setting, Myriam’s lessons are enriching, by alternating oral and written work with grammar and phonetics and making light of vocabulary through play.
